Hauling an old heater after replacement
Send a photo of the full water heater, its capacity or model label if available, and its present location. Tell us if it is freestanding in a garage, still in a utility room or part of a larger basement cleanup.
Identify any platform, tight enclosure, stairs or long carry between the heater and available parking. A large tank or difficult exit can require different handling from a small unit already accessible near the truck.
Preparation belongs in the booking conversation
State whether water, electricity or gas is still connected, and whether the tank has been drained. Do not assume draining, utility disconnection, plumbing work or removal of attached building equipment is included in junk hauling.
Have the appropriate qualified professional handle installation-related work as needed. Do not move a connected or hot unit, cut gas lines or open fittings simply to make it ready for a photo estimate. We confirm the pickup requirements before scheduling.
Water heater removal starting price
Water heater removal starts at $100 with normal access and handling. The actual quote depends on size, weight, stairs, carry distance and whether preparation is complete. Other approved items can be included in one combined estimate.
The $75 minimum applies to the visit total; it is not added to the $100 starting price. Normal loading, hauling and standard disposal are included in the agreed scope. See our appliance pricing and send photos for confirmation.
What to include with your request
Send the property address, tank photo, connection status, floor level and a view of the route to parking. If a plumber is replacing the heater, confirm who is responsible for hauling the old one so the same work is not booked twice.
We can review a heater together with other approved appliances or loose basement clutter. Describe mixed materials separately and flag leaks, unknown substances or unusual weight before loading is discussed.
Questions before you book
Does hauling include installing a new water heater?
No. This page covers removal and hauling of an approved old unit. Installation, repair and utility work are separate.
Can you collect a heater from a basement?
Send the tank details and stairwell photos. We review the weight, preparation and exit route before confirming whether the pickup can proceed.
