Curbside Pickup vs. Full-Service Junk Removal
The phrase “curbside pickup” can describe different services. Start by deciding whether you need a collection program for items already outside or a crew to carry unwanted items out of the property.

Three options that solve different problems
Municipal or contracted bulk collection: your city or household trash provider may collect eligible items under its own rules and schedule. Check the actual provider for your address, item limits, preparation and any extra fee.
Private curbside hauling: a hauler collects an agreed load from an accessible outdoor location. Ask whether you must move everything there before the visit and how access affects the quote.
Full-service removal: the agreed work can include carrying approved items from rooms, garages or basements, then loading and hauling them away. The quote needs the whole load and exit route.
Choose based on the work you need
If one eligible sofa is already outside and the collection schedule fits, start by checking your household provider. If the item is upstairs, a basement needs clearing or several rooms are involved, compare a quote that includes the carrying labor.
Do not move a heavy item simply to qualify for a service you have not confirmed. Check acceptance and the appointment first. Restricted materials and unusually heavy items need review whichever collection option you choose.
Compare the complete price
Ask what is included: inside carrying, loading, hauling, disposal, stairs, long carries and any dismantling. Compare the same item list and access assumptions. A curbside estimate for one piece does not describe the same job as an inside cleanout.
Quick Haul has a $75 minimum pickup. This applies to the visit total, not as an extra item fee. Outside placement does not create an automatic discount; send photos for the actual quote. See our pricing guide.
Check timing and where items may be placed
Use your provider’s current instructions before leaving furniture outside. Collection days, reservation requirements and material rules vary by address and provider. A private hauling appointment also needs confirmation; requesting a date does not reserve it.
Quick Haul serves Summit, Cuyahoga, Portage, Medina and Stark counties. Send your exact address, photos and preferred window. Same-day and next-day options depend on route space.
A quick decision checklist
- Who accepts the specific items at your address?
- Who carries them from their current location?
- What access, stairs or dismantling must be included?
- What is the confirmed total and appointment?
- What must be prepared before collection?

Questions before you book
Do I have to put everything outside for Quick Haul?
No. Send photos where the items are now and describe the exit route. Approved inside carrying can be included in your quote.
Is municipal pickup always free?
Do not assume that. Eligibility, included services and additional fees depend on the provider and property. Confirm the current terms for your address.
