Quick Haul planning guide

How much does junk removal cost in Akron?

Understand the starting prices, the work included and the details that turn a photo into an accurate quote.

Start with the items, then check the access.

Quick Haul has a $75 minimum per pickup. A small, straightforward pickup and a basement full of mixed belongings need different estimates. The important details are what needs to go, how much truck space it occupies, its weight and how our crew can reach it.

This guide explains how to compare a quote. Our item and truck-load pricing page is the main reference for current starting prices. Send the complete job together so we can quote one agreed scope.

Examples of published starting prices

Quick Haul starting prices for normal access and handling
PickupStarting price
Mattress$95
Sofa$125
Refrigerator$125
Quarter-truck load$199
Half-truck load$349
Three-quarter-truck load$499
Full-truck load$649

These are starting prices, not a promise that every job fits the same rate. Load pricing is an alternative way to estimate larger jobs; it is not a charge added on top of every item price. A multiple-item pickup receives a combined quote.

What “a truck load” means

Our F450 dump truck bed measures 12 feet long, 8 feet wide and 4 feet tall: approximately 14.2 cubic yards. A quarter load is about 3.6 cubic yards and a half load about 7.1. These measurements describe space, not a guaranteed number of pieces or a weight allowance.

A large sectional can occupy more room than several compact items. Dense renovation material can need a different hauling plan even when the pile looks small. Tell us about concrete, dirt, roofing or other heavy material before choosing a load size; acceptance and pricing must be confirmed.

Four details that can change the quote

  1. The complete inventory. Photograph everything, including items in another room or an outdoor pile. Adding items changes the agreed scope.
  2. Stairs and carrying distance. Tell us about basement steps, upper floors, elevators and the route to the truck.
  3. Size and handling. Mention sleeper sofas, large exercise equipment, attached fixtures and anything needing dismantling.
  4. Disposal requirements. Identify unusual materials in advance. Our normal service covers approved, non-hazardous items.

Normal loading, hauling and standard disposal are included in the agreed scope. We confirm the final price before loading begins.

How to compare two estimates fairly

Give both companies the same photos and item list. Compare the total scope: inside pickup or curbside, the same rooms, the same stairs and the same disposal requirements. A quote for one sofa at the curb is not directly comparable to carrying a sleeper sofa up basement steps.

Ask when the total will be confirmed and what would change it. If you are replacing a sofa and also have a mattress to remove, send both together instead of assuming the two starting prices automatically set your total.

Real Akron cleanouts show why access matters

Our Akron service page includes real porch and basement before-and-after photos from Firestone. A useful estimate needs that full view of the items and the route out, not just one close-up. Each new property still needs its own scope and price confirmation.

For a larger job, use our garage and basement preparation checklist before sending your photos.

Is paying for removal your best option?

If an item is eligible for city collection and you can prepare it for the curb, check that option first. Our Akron bulk-pickup comparison explains how to decide. Full-service removal is useful when you need carrying help, a larger agreed cleanout or an available appointment that suits your schedule.

Same-day and next-day options depend on route space. A quote request does not reserve an appointment.
